After-Hours Access at City of Parramatta Libraries

After-Hours Access at City of Parramatta Libraries

The City of Parramatta Libraries are the first to use Monitor’s mobile MU2 device. This is battery powered with Wi-fi connection and is an option along with standard connected MU2 options.

The Mobile unit is used to augment the “After-hours Access Service” solution that Monitor provides. Library access with limited staff.

At present the mobile device is used to sign-in patrons still inside the library as the doors are being shut and after-hours access rules apply.

Quotes from Parramatta

“I am pleased to inform you that our mobile closing sweep device is finally up and running. Instead of the old cumbersome way of using a laptop, scanner, Spydus and the spreadsheet to record afterhours users, the MU2 does it all in one scan!”

“One seemingly small step that will make the lives of our Operations team much easier for years to come.”
