The Monitor Solution, using the Supervisor net software, allows centralised control, site management and system configuration. It allows various Monitor devices to communicate with each other and to be distributed across your existing Ethernet network, using TCP/IP communication. This enables the delivery of ‘real time’ transactions, on screen balances, device usage history, and access to remote diagnostics and support capability. The Monitor terminals and Autoloaders support fixed or dynamic IP address allocation and all data is encrypted for security.

The software communicates on line with Monitor terminals and other software components, meaning that all changes made to the status of accounts, prices and other system configurations, at the central PC are immediately available throughout the system. The terminal validates card numbers, codes or logins via the card reader or keypad then verifies the user and account balance before enabling the service device, such as a photocopier.

Funds may be loaded at a central PC such as departmental budgets, or by the user directly at an Autoloader paystation. Using either a login and password or swipe card, user funds are verified on line, for immediate use. Funds are safe if a user’s card is lost or stolen, since the balance is centralised, and no value is held on the card.

Extensive event monitoring and alarm control provides immediate notification at the central PC or by email of many aspects of system operation.

Interface to ID Card Production Facility

The Monitor system has been successfully interfaced to Photo ID card production systems at a number of sites to allow the ID card details including account number, name and ID to be automatically added to the Monitor Supervisor net software database for immediate use by the cardholder. This provides security, accuracy and a minimum amount of administration effort to keep the cards and card system database synchronised with each other.
