<p>Monitor's Canadian reseller, E-Card ID Products is currently
working with a new client, Vaughan Public Libraries to install
Monitor's print management solution including Monitor Web Print.
Vaughan Public Library includes 7 libraries and has over 130,000
patrons.</p>

<p>E-Card was approached by Vaughan Public Libraries as they were
interested in a wireless printing solution for their patrons. The
reason for this was that they were finding that more and more of
their patrons were bringing their own wireless devices to the
library and wanting to print documents from them.</p>

<p>Monitor's print management solution was a perfect answer to the
library's wireless printing issue. To create a more user friendly
environment for their patrons, the development team at Monitor
added a new feature to Monitor Web Print allowing users to login
using a 'User entered job ID'. This new feature allows Vaughan's
library patron's to log into Monitor Web Print using a secure
password that they have created.</p>

<p>The user would log into Monitor Web Print using their own User
ID (this is chosen by the user at the time of logging in) to access
the Web Print page. They would then select the location they wish
to print to and upload their document, URL or email. Once the user
has submitted the print job, they will then go to the print release
station, enter the same User ID again and their jobs will be
displayed ready to be printed.</p>

<p>This is available on Supervisor Net 6.6.3 and upwards. If you
are interested in this feature please contact your local Monitor
office or reseller.</p>

<p>Monitor has developed a solution that allows organisations to
offer cashfree unattended payment of their coffee vending machines.
My Coffee uses the patron's membership card, ID card or other types
of identifiers to purchase beverages from a coffee vending
machines. The My Coffee solution would be ideal for organisations
such as a public library, higher educational institutions,
hospitals, hotels and casinos.</p>

<p>Monitor's first installation of their new application is at the
Skycity Casino in Darwin, Australia. Below provides an outline of
what the casino required and how our My Coffee solution responded
to those requirements.</p>

<p>Requirements for Skycity Casino, Darwin</p>

<ul>
<li>To offer a cashfree and unattended environment for the payment
of beverages from coffee vending machines on site</li>

<li>Payment is made using the patrons existing gaming card</li>

<li>Ensure that the gaming system database is checked in real time
to ensure that the patron has sufficient points in their account to
vend a beverage from the coffee vending machine</li>

<li>The solution must not require any card holder or database
maintenance</li>

<li>The solution must be a pure Ethernet solution</li>
</ul>

<p>Solution</p>

<ul>
<li>An Ethernet mag card reader was fitted to all vending
machines</li>

<li>My Coffee is used as the gateway to their gaming system</li>

<li>Monitor developed the interface to the gaming system for card
holder authentication</li>

<li>An Ethernet based enabling mechanism to engage the credit on
the vending machine</li>
</ul>

local Monitor office or reseller.</p>

<p>Supervisor Net 6.6.3 has been released with several new features
including a new feature for Monitor Web Print.</p>

<p>The new feature for Monitor Web Print allows a user to select
their login method and use a 'User entered job ID'.</p>

<p>This is ideal for a library environment where casual users such
as tourists, can print jobs using their own wireless device at the
library. The user would log into Monitor Web Print using their own
User ID (this is chosen by the user at the time of logging in) to
access the Web Print page. They would then select the location they
wish to print to and upload their document, URL or email. Once the
user has submitted the print job, they will then go to the print
release station, enter the same User ID again and their jobs will
be displayed ready to be printed.</p>

<p>The feature was designed for a public library however it can be
implemented in many different scenarios where printing is required
in an unauthenticated environment. Examples of these are hotels,
coffee shops, hospitals.</p>

<p>The other features that are part of Supervisor Net 6.6.3
include:</p>

<ul>
<li>Pop-Up now has the ability to remember the user's credentials
so they don't have to enter them for every print job.</li>

<li>The rule builder in Monitor Print now has the ability to
automatically assign a Secondary code, such as a department or cost
code to a print job. This is useful for print jobs originating at
an accounting server or for only billing clients if there are more
than a certain number of pages.</li>
</ul>

sent a print release station, depending on the organisation's print
solution.</p>

<p>Key features of Monitor Mac Print Popup include:</p>
